Pamela Franks writes under the pen name PM Franks. Her Children’s Christmas book, The Magic Gingerbread House, was published by Houston based BrightSky press in the fall of 2015. The story is based upon Franks’ family tradition of building a gingerbread house for over 30 years, that five of Santa’s Elves that come to live in each year. Needing a retreat from the busy North Pole, the Elves and Meghan and Mollie, Franks’ daughters, begin to communicate through notes and various small gifts. The Story promotes the Christmas spirit, family

values, and the tradition of creating a Gingerbread House every season.

In the past year, The Magic Gingerbread House has received a wide range of recognition, including being featured in The Houston Chronicle, receiving a congratulatory letter from former First Lady Barbara Bush, and being selected by United Through Reading as the 2016 Christmas book for our deployed soldiers and their families.

As an author, Franks’ believes in the importance of giving back to her community. Portions of books she sells are given to non-profit organizations supporting either children or the U.S. military. The

military is extremely important to Franks, as her husband is a Bronze Star recipient, and Meghan and Mollie, the main characters in the book, are both currently active in the Army.
